Inside Sales Representative

Unified Valve Group is seeking a hardworking, motivated Inside Sales Representative who thrives in a technical role balanced with customer interaction. This role is for you if you thrive on making connections, increasing customer satisfaction, balancing competing priorities effectively and being part of a cooperative, collaborative team.  

Responsibilities:

  • Answer inbound sales calls providing excellent customer service
  • Prepare and follow up on technical quotations, order entry and expediting
  • Maintain high level of product and service knowledge for effective customer service as well as being able to make informed suggestions and recommendations
  • Maintain open communication will the sales team
  • Liaise with the service group and shipping and receiving for status request
  • Upsell and promote new products to current customers
  • Maintain, expand and develop customer bases
  • Regular reporting of sales activities

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in inside sales an asset
  • Technical Post-Secondary degree (instrumentation or technical trade) an asset
  • CET certification an asset
  • Strong technical knowledge required
  • Previous experience in the valve industry with good product knowledge, an asset
  • Exceptional communicator and customer service oriented with good interpersonal skills and ability to adjust to various personality types
  • Proven attention to detail with strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively
  • Must have proven ability taking ownership of tasks
  • Must be a team player who is willing to wear many hats and help where needed
