1985

Mercer Valve Company, Inc.®, Oklahoma City, OK introduces the 8100 Series of safety relief valves. Featuring patented Auto Seat Technology®, this revolutionary design is destined to change the way industry perceives the protection of pressurized equipment.

1986

From a small warehouse in South Calgary, Alberta, Keith Levoir recognizes the enormous potential for the Mercer design. With 10 years experience in the Alberta oilfield valve business already, Keith negotiates the exclusive Canadian rights to distributorship of the unique soft-seat product. Valve designs are immediately CRN registered in all Canadian Provinces and Territories.

1990s

Experiencing incredible growth and opportunity, additional distribution points are set up in Alberta. Brooks, Grande Prairie, and Edmonton are added through Mr. Levoir's sister company, Unified Valve Ltd. As the Mercer Valve product line grows to include 9100 Threaded, Flanged, and 9500 Series Pilot Operated valves, the ability to provide superior quality and value to the Canadian marketplace is even more attainable.

2000s

Additional key distribution points are added in Red Deer, Alberta and Fort St. John, B.C. This allows Mercer valves to be stocked, and readily available to the fast-paced oil, gas, and compression package industry.

2006

The need to expand to the global market while maximizing potential to service all of Mercer Canada’s customers was identified. The first stage of which was to have Mercer Valve Canada Ltd. become an entity of its own, separate from its many years of partnership with its service company heritage. Keith Levoir and Dick Taylor, President of Mercer Valve Company, formulated and followed the plan to have Mercer Valve Canada Ltd., become the "First International Assembler" of Mercer 8100 and 9100 series Air/Gas valves. Licensed under the National Board (NB and VR), ASME (UV) as well as ABSA, Mercer Valve Canada Ltd. is well-poised to move quickly to the next level of customer service and quality control.

Present Day

Although manufactured exclusively in North America, Mercer Valve recognizes the need for products to be available within days, even hours, to meet customer needs. In order to best meet these requirements, Mercer Valve Canada Ltd. is constantly adding additional inventory. Whether through their own warehouse in South Calgary, or through Mercer Valve Company’s distribution warehouse in North Calgary, our goal is to have what you need, when you need it. Be it threaded or flanged valves, springs, repair kits, conversion kits or pilot repair parts, Mercer Valve Canada Ltd. and their support team of professionals are there to provide everything you need to get your critical systems back online and operating to their maximum potential.
